Thp third day nf tho Australian Jockey Chili's autumn meeting was held on Saturday. The weather was fine v but the course was heavy. The attendance was good. Merrimax was well supported in the hurdles, but was not placed. Spurn was well ridden. McLachlan easily captured the All-Aged* Stakes. Mountain Knight was the favorite for the Cumberland stakes, but was unable to last the race against Ulva's Isle. Results: — SECOND HURDLES, of 500 sovs; two mihu and a half.—Jack Rice, 11.12, 1; Clontaft, 12.0, 2; Hallmark, 11.10. 3. Five started. Hallmark and Darrawa made the most of the running. Darrawa fell, and Jack Rice assumed command, and won easily by eight lengths, two lengths dividing second and third. Merrimax was last. Time % smin ft'Asec. ALL-AGED STAKES, of 2500 sovs; one mile.—Spurn, 8.12, 1; Brattle, 8.12, 2; Woprak, 8.8, 3. Fifteen started. Brattle was the first away from Two ami Woorak. CUMBERLAND STAKES, of 2000 sovs, w.f.a.; two miles.—Ulva's Isle, 9.0, 1; Mountain Knight,, 8.2, 2; St. Spasaj 8.11, 3. Also started: Onazer, Carlita, Sir Alwynton.;. The latter was the first away from Onazer and Mountain Knight and St. Spasa. Passing the stand the order was Sir Alwynton, Carlita, Onazer, Mountain Knight, St. Spasa, and Ulva's Isle. The latter assumed command at seven furlongs, and entered the straight ahead of Mountain Knight, with fit. Spasa one length and a half away. Won by a head, Time, 3min 341/i'scc. I CITY HANDICAP, of 750 sovs; one mile and five furlongs.—Narivo, 6.8 1; Necktie, G.B, 2; Scotch Artillery, 8.7, 3. Thirteen started. Scotch Artillery made the paee to the bend.
