The twentieth fell to IBealc—ls-13. A' splendidly judged last howl by Beale cut out three of Lambie's, and lie scored another—ls-14. The next head brought the end of a most interesting and well-fought game. Lambie played hia four bowls with fino judgment, but Beale was sending them down with too much pace. He tooik off a little too much with his last, and gave Lambie two, the match, and the Taranaki singleß championship, by 21 points to 15. At tlie conclusion, Mr. G. Smart, the Stratford Club's president, on ibchalf of the. Taranaki centre, presented the winner with the gold medal, and congratu-: lated both contestants on the game thejl lind played.
