YOUNG MAN'S ADVENTURE. ! Nelson, Last Night. Oh Easter Monday a young man, named Roy Bateup, 21 years of age, left the camp on Rabbit Island to go to Richmond, riding across the channel at low water. His horse later turned up at Richmond, but no trace could be found of Bateup, although search parties had been out all the week. To-day "Bateup was found nearly dead from exhaustion and exposure, but otherwise uninjured. He is progressing favorably, but is not yet able to give an account of what happened to him.
