AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Invercargill, Last Night. In the final tie of the Australasian draughts championship, Calderwood (Auckland) won from Borcham (Dilnedin). Having got a draw and a win on the previous evening, Calderwood only required a draw to win outright, and he pursued a safe line, leaving the onus of rest to his opponent. Calderwood won the New Zealand championship last year. Gardiner (Westport) the retiring champion, was not a competitor. Handicap results are: R. Miiir (Dunedin), handicap 4, score 22'/,, total 26%, 1; T. Rae (Dunedin), scr.—22%, 2; R. Botting (Dunedin), V,— 20%—21; L. Morris (Palmerston South), s—l6 21; and F. Hutchins (Invercargill), 0— 15—21, equal, 3.
