HIGH COMMSISIONER'S
REPORTS. Wellington, April 8. The High Commissioner reports under date London, April 7 (2.10 p.m.) : Petrograd reports that all the prisoners taken ait Przemysl have been removed and sent into the interior of Russia. There were nine generals, 2307 officers, and 113,880 soldiers. In addition 8800 siek and wounded are cared for in the hospitals at the theatre of war. Their condition was such that they could not bear an immediate journey. One hundred and twenty-eight surgeons and a hundred hospital orderlies of the Austrian army have been provisionally kept attending them. 'A complete list of captured war material lias not been prepared. More than 000 guns, many in '[icrfoct order, were taken. if any were thrown bv the Austrians into the river San.
Wellington, Last Night.
The Premier has received the following from the High Commissioner, dated London. April R, 1.50 a.m.: — Paris reports great activity between finite and Moselle. The Allies maintained all gains, and made further progress east of Verdun, capturing two lines of trenches. At Eparges the Allies made an important bound forward. The Ormans counter-attacked all day, but gained noihing. In the last attack which was particularly strong, they were mowed down by the Allies' fire.
