In a return, comprising the estimated with the actual receipts and expenditure for the year ending 31st March, 11115, the total receipts are stated as £22,7117, as against the estimated amount of £21,343, the chief items which exceeded the estimates being: Reimbursements £sf>o. electric light £325, extra water £31!!).

It would doubtless be interesting to ratepayers to have a full statement of the cost of the borough staff.
