The South Island rifle shooting championships concluded yesterday. In the final match for the belt (10 shots at 700 yards) D. Roots (Patea) won with 'lO. His aggregate was l! 28. R. J. Smit'i (Opakij, Sergt. Ching. .T. C. Carter (Petone), and R. Piper (Christchurch) scored 31!) each.
