To-morrow evening the second portion of the A grade contest test selection (Wagner) will be taken, and the judge's award will be announced.
THE SOLO COMPETITIONS. Chistehurch, Last Night. The hand contest was resumed today. Results:—
Tenor Horn Solo: C. Hansen (Nelson Regimental), DO marks, 1; G. Wilson (Woolston), -SO marks, 2; M. Bowes (Wanganui Garrison), 88 marks, 3. Twenty entries, hut only nine competitors.
B-Flat Trombone Solo: ,T. Sara (Westport Regimental), fll marks. 1; A. Willis (Tnvercargill Hibernians), 88 marks, 2; J. Neighbours'„(Westport Regimental), 80 marks, 3. Fifteen tries. Only nine competed.
Baritone Solo.—G. Jensen (Wanganui) S9 marks, 1; C. E. Smith (Timaru Regimental), 87, 2; AY. Wheatley (Westport). 80, 3. Twelve entrants; ten contestants. Euphonium Solo.—S. J. THE TEST. The evening was devoted to the second portion of the A grade contest, Wagner selection. There were eleven entrants, and eiglit contestants. The result of the test was:— Woolston, 89, 94—183. Timaru, 82, 90—172. Wanganui, 92, 77—1G9. Besson Shield. —Timaru. Hawke Shield and Boosey Shield.— Woolston. e ■Boosey Shield, B Grade.—Napier.
