KAISER QUARRELS WITH HIS SONS.

STORMY SCENE WITH. THE CROWN

PRINCE,

Neutral travellers who have just returned from Ocnnany (says the' London Express Amsterdam correspondent) state that a bitter conflict between the Kaiser and two of his sons, the Crown Prince and Prince August Wilholm, is being openly discussed in Berlin, though necessarily nothing about the, matter lias appeared in the officially controlled press.

It appears that the Kaiser and the Crown Prince have frequent discussions on points of strategy, and that numerous instructions given by the Crown •Prince to the Generals under him had been Vetoed by the Kaiser on the suggestion of General von Falkenhayn as Chief of the General Staff. When his orders were cancelled the Crown Prince passionately demanded explanations from his father, but these were sternly refused and after a stormy scene the Crown Prince left the Kaiser's headquarters complaining that he was being "treated like a hoy," despite his past military achievements. It is anticipated in Rerlin that the Crown Prince will be required to take a long "rest," and will soon return to the J capital and join his brother August jj Wilhelm. j The latter has been in Berlin for some J time, and is not likely to return to the f front, though he has long since.recover--1 ed from his accident. j Prince August Wilhelm, who is known to be the only TTo'hcnzollern uninfected with militarism, is declared to have disapproved openly of the Kaiser's policy of "frightfnlnoss." The sequel was a scene between father and son, at the end of which Prince (Wilhelm w:>.s "advised" by the Kaiser ' to return :\t once to lierlin and assist the Empress in looking after the wound- | Another rra of the Kaiser, Prince Joa- | chiin, is I'inv in a sanatorium at Badon- ; linden, where, he is slowly recovering J from "'nervous prostration" brought on ) by his service in the field.
