BOWLING.
CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.
An innovation in Taranaki bowling circles this year is a competition which will decide for the year the champion of the Taranaki Bowling Centre, who will receive a gold medal presented by the Wcstport Coal Company. Each club has already ascertained its champion, and this meeting of champions will eventuate at Stratford to-morrow, the first round commencing at 9 a.m. sharp, each game to he of twenty-one heads. Mr. A. K. Smart will be in charge of the matches. There are ten competitors, every club but l'atea and Waitara being represented. The competition has been divided into two sections, and the drawings, with the rinks on which the matches are to be played, are as follow: SECTION No. 1. First Bound: lambic (Piliama.) v. G. Smart (Stratford), No. S rink; McKay (Eltham) v. J. Burton (Opunake), No. 1; G. Sutherland (Inglewood), a h.ve. Second Round: Lambie v. Burton, No. 7; Sutherland v. Smart, No. G; McKay, a bye.
_ Third Bound: Sutherland v. Burton, No. 4; 'McKay v. lambic, No. 5; G. Smart, a bye. Fourth Round: Smart v. Burton, No. 3; McKay v. Sutherland, No. 2; iambic, a bye. Fifth Bound: Smart v. McKay, Xo. 7; Sutherland v. lambic, No, 1; Burton, a bye. SECTION No. 2. _ First Round: Foy (Hawera) v. 0. N. Firth (New .Plymouth), No. 3 rink; Pice (Fitzroy) v. Beale (Weestown), No. 2; McDonald (Manaia), a bye. Second Round: Firth v. Beale, No. 4; >Prioe v. McDonald, No. 5; Foy, a t>ye. Third Round: Foy v. Beale, No. 7; Firth v.
