A two-storeyed house of ten rooms on Tliorndon' (juay, owned by Mrs. E. .VI. Clapcott, and occupied by Mrs. Dora Miu::i as a boarding-house, was gutted by lire to-night. Insurances are unavai'able. The. occupants all got out safely.
A CHDRCII BURNED DOWN. 'Wellington, Last Night. The Presbyterian Church at Island Bay was burned down this evening. The origin is unknown. Insurances total .CliSO.
