FORECAST. Wellington, Last Night. The following is Mr. Bates's weatliei forecast:—

Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly breezes northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and northerly and westerly winds elsewhere, squally about Foveaux Strait. Cloudy to overcast conditions are probable at times, generally with showers on the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. The barometer, has a falling tendency. A westerly disturbance is likely to pass towards the end of the week.
