At a meeting of the Wellington branch of tile Engine-drivers and Firemen and Cleaners' Association, a, resolution was passed protesting against the increasing cost, of the necessaries of life, anil urging the Oovernnient to take action in till' Interests of the community. Attention was drawn to ilie fact that it is in Kei-w Aland's own produce that tlie increase in prices is most noticeable, anil tins is considered altogether uuwarra nted.
