LEPPERTON.

At a meeting in connection with the recent picnic and gift auction sale, hskt in the Lepperton Hall, Mr IT. T>. Lepper occupied tlie chair. Mr V' -'\ treasurer, read tlic ■. iiich showed that £2OO bad been paid into the Belgian Relief fund. After various accounts had been paid it was expected that (i further amount will be available. A vote of thanks was carried be acclamation to Messrs W. Roberts, F. W. Atkinson, F. Crowe and II B. Lepper tor their efforts in connection with the affair. While everybody in the district helped, these gentlemen had a gnat deal of work over and above what fell to the lot of other people, after the picnic, in the way of squaring up. In addition to the list of donations already acknowledged through your columns, the following have since been received;— H. Hollins ss, W. Roberts os, C. Young 15s, R. Giddy ss, T)r Nutting £2 2s, C. F. and E.'R. Boldt 2s 6d additional, T. Baker three cases of plums, Barnett feheep, sold to P. A. Openshaw for 17s, Mrs F. Andrews, two roas' fowls, Miss Stewart, M. C. Hellicr, and Messrs T. Hellier, H. Langman. and Rennie, toys for the fish pond. Mr McGonnell, pig, sold for 13s fid. The following contributed to buy toys for the fish pond: Air W. Roberts' £l, Mesdames Atkinson, Sampson (2) and Brown, each ss. Messrs Brown, Roberts, and Openshaw, the collecting committee for the Belgian Relief Fund, have decided to drop the monthly collecting for a time. Anyone desirous of contributing thc'.r monthly donations to the fund can still pay it in to either Mr Roberts or Mr Brown. I

Since the war started Lepperton has raised in various ways almost, if not quite. £4OO for the ' patriotic and relief funds. I hope to be in a positioi next time I write to f,ive the ex'>. ;t figures.
