_ On Saturday afternoon five rinks of St. John's (Wanganni) bowlers played the Fitzroy Club. Only four rinks were available at Fitzroy, so the fifth was played on the town green. A very enjoyable game resulted, though the visitors were very badly beaten at two rinks, and on the total were 41 points to the bad, the final scores being.—Fitzroy 120, St. John's SS. Five rinks from St. John's (Wangau,!) Club played a match against New Plymouth on Saturday morning. The president of the local club (Mr.'w. J. Venn) welcomed the visitors, Mr. Christie, the St, John's president, replying on behalf of his team, who then gave their bowlers' song with excellent ollVct. VISITING BOWLERS ENTERTAINED.

Tu the evening the visiting bowlers from St. John's (Wangamii) and Manaia were the guests of the Now Plymouth Club at a social gathering in the New Plymouth Club's pavilion. There was a large attendance! of members of the New Plymouth Club, and the lire indents of the Fitzroy anil West End Chios were present by invitation.. Mr. W. J. Pcnn, president of the club, presided. A very pleasant evening was spent in di?. cussing a short toast list, interspersed with song and story.

OPUNAKE BOWLING CLUB,

Three rinks of Opimake will visit New Plymouth on Monday, and will play matches against New' Plymouth in the morning and West End in the afternoon.
