Heid, VVaernnga, averaged Clli "s, and other consignments of steers averaged over £l4. Veal calves came forward in larger numbers, and prices were firmer throughout. Heavy vealers sold at from £5 to £0 !)s 0,1; medium weights, £5 ISs to £4 17s; lighter, £2 to £3 10s; others, 2lls to .'ISs; smaller and fresh dropped; 3s to ISs. Sheep were ynr.l in smaller numbers than usual, and improved in price from Is to 2s per bead on last weeks' quotations. Best wethers sold at from Ufa to 20s (hi; others, 2ns to 23s fid; inferior fritted ditto, Ms fld to ills; heavy ewes, IR S !ld to 20s 3d; others, 10s to ISs Oil.
