Official: Our actions in the direction of Bartfeld and Uszok Pass are developing with, perfect success. We carried fortified positions on the heights on the 28th, capturing 5400 pris- ' oners, five guns, and twenty-one machineguns. The enemy was forced 1o cross the fronntier from Czernowitz. and is advancing on Chotin. Bucharest, March 31.
The Russians were ambushed at Bessarabia, and driven back with heavy loss.
AUSTRIAN ATTACKS REPULSED.
Petrograd, March 30,
Persistent Austrian attacks between Gorlitz and Bartficld have been repulsed. The Russians progressed in the Baligrod district, capturing prisoners and guns.
Amsterdam, March 30.
A. German official statement claims that the Germans captured a thousand men at Tauroggen and killed two thousand. Tn the Krasnopol-Auwalk district they captured three thousand men.
