SOLDIERS' DEPENDENTS.
SCHEME FOR RELIEF. •Timaru, Monday. At a mwtiii" of the (Public Safety (Patriotic) Committee to-day, on the motion of Mr. G. S. Gray, it was resolved to write to tlic Christchurch committee requesting it to convene a conference' of hiicli committees in \ew Zealand with a view to arranging a, uniform ,scheme of relief of soldiers' dependents, and to consider the advisability of federation for responsibility.
