SOME NEW ZEALAND WINNERS.

The downpour largely spoiled judging day at the Royal Show. Few Zealand exhibits were fewer than usual, and figured less freely in the prize lists. Flavinius secured first and champion in blood stallions, anil Ribbonwood for trotters. New Zealand-bred animals were prominent in the draught sections. The imported Captain Dale was first <md champion i u heavy stallions, and ths New Zealand-bred' Native Chief was reserve champion. Mitchell and O'Brien's Princess Mary was reserve champion _in mares, and the same owners' Lady Wilton was placed first vn two-year-olds. In cattle W. ■ I. Lovelock, of Palmerston North, took first and second in Holstein-Friesian bulls. j
Tn English Lcieesters, John Nixon of Killinehy, again scooped the honor-!, supplying both champion ram and owe irad firsts in all other sections. In Border Loiii-ftcrs, Nixon scored a first, two seconds, and a third. There is a noticeable falling off in the Holstein-Friesian bulls.
