ARBITRATION COURT.
A COMPENSATION CASE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, March M. .Judgment was delivered in tlio Arbitration Court to-day in the case in which Hnilo Pirelli, a Wellington fish curer, claimed from Die Hawke's Bay Fisheries Co., Ltd. (lie sum of £230 10s as compensation for the loss of an eve, while, in the employ of the company. ' Plaintiff alleged that while cutting and cleaning fish on November l(i septic matter flew into his eye, setting up poisoning ami eventually destroying his sight, and the Court took this view of the matter and awarded compensation calculated in ceeordance with Hie second schedule of the Act, also half wages for the period of incapacity, and the sum of .CI medical expenses, also £lO IDs costs and expenses. The total award included £l7 His for ten weeks' total disablement, and .€212 for weekly payment of 17s fid for remainder of the period of liability.
