THE THIRD REINFORCEMENTS.

Dunedin, Last Night. A private cablegram has been received, stating that the third reinforcements have safely reached their destination.
CONTRABAND OF YVAK. A NEW LIST.
Wellington, March 20.
A Gazette extaordmary issued to-day amends the previous lists of contraband of war. The following articles are now absolute contraband in addition to the articles made absolute contraband by the proclamation issued on December 23 —(1) Raw wool, wool tops and noils, woollen and worsted yarns; (2) tin, chloride of tin, and tin ore; (3) Ca.stor Oil and paraffin wax; (4) copper iodide; (o) lubricants; (<>) hides of cattle and horses, skins of calves, pigs, sheep, goats or deer; (7) leather, undressed or dressed, suitable for saddlery, harness, military boots, or military clothing; (8) ammonia and its salts, whether simple or compound, and ammonia liquor; (A) urea, aniline, and their compounds, tanfflng substances of all kinds now conditional contraband. The forms "foodstuffs" and ."feeding stuffs for animals," as used in the list of conditional contraband in the proclamation of December.23 will ho deemed to include the following articles:— Oleaginous seeds, nuts and kernels,.animal and vegetable oils and fats (other than linseed oil) suitable for use in the manufacture of cakes and meals made from oleaginous seeds, nuts, and kernels.
THE EXPORT OF OATS.
Wellington, March 2.1.
Interviewed concerning the export of oats, the Minister of Customs staged that with respect to the applications for permission to export goods that are prohibited, he proposes, both for the convenience of applicants and the department, to give Tuesday of each week as a day on which applications he considered. The applications must reajh Wellington on the morning of that day, and the answers would be sent the same evening and the exporter can make shipping arrangements for the week. Until further reports are received with regard to the set statistics it will be impossible to consider the application for export, of the. cereal unless under special circumstances.
DEATHS OF TROOPERS?
Wellington, March 29. Two further deaths of members of the New Zealand expeditionary forces are reported to the Defence authorities. No. 10-1084, Private Joseph Stanley Remnant, Wellington Infantry Battalion (Main Body), died at Albany on the 19th inst. of complications . following pneumonia. lli 3 next-of-kin is Mrs. W. Remnant, Te Matai, Pahhcrston North. No. 12-1072. Private Duncan Gordon Mackay, A (Auckland) Company, 3rd reinforcements died at sea on March 14 of heat apoplexy. His father is Duncan Mackayi, who resides at Wainua.
Of the twelve nurses required by the Commonwealth from New Zealand, five were ready to go from Dunedin within four hours of the request.—Press Association telegram.
