SERIOUS ASSAULT.

MALTESE SAILOR MALTREATED.

Auckland, March 20.

A Maltese sailor named Paul Fenwick, employed on the Star of India, sustained serious injuries from an assult in Customs Street on Saturday night. He was removed to the hospital. One of his ribs was broken, and his body and face severely bruised. The police later arrested four men belonging to the Star of India, and charged them with causing actual bodily harm.
