BUDAPEST!! A PESTHOUSE. New York, March 20. Dr Charles Mac Donald, of the United States Army, who lias returned from Budapesth, states that, the city is a pesthousc, and that the residents arc absolutely rotten, owing to the absence of sanitation. There are thousands of uncared for cases of typhoid, and cholera is rampant. The Austrian soldiers are living like vermin. The wounded reach the hospitals in an unspeakable condition. There a;-e seventy (? thousand) maimed soldiers in Budapesth alone.
