ENGLISH STEAMER LOST.
■London, March 20.
A. submarine sank, in the Channel, 1 the English steamer Delmira, bound for Boulogne. The crew were saved. German aeroplanes, proceeding towards Calais, dropped five hundred darts on the Norwegian steamer Diana, bound for Shields. Many struck the deck. The crew were concealed and none were injured.
A COWARDLY CHINESE CREW.
London, March 26,
There was a crew of thirty-one on board the Delmira, mostly Chinese. The submarine fired three revolver shots a.s a signal to heave to. The captain ordered full steam ahead and could have escaped, but the Chinese below, learning the facts, refused, to stoke the boilers, and the'submarine quickly overhauled hert
