FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Mr. Bates' weather forecast:—
Present indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly to easterly winds north-west of Westport and Kaikoura, and northerlies elsewhere. Dull and misty weather is probable generally,with rain following in many parts of Ihe country. The barometer has a falling tendency elsewhere.
