THE WEATHER.
FORECAST. Wellington, Last Night. Present indications are for cool and changeable weather, mist}' at times, with passing showers o n the east coast of the North Island, but a temporary improvement is to be expected in the north. Moderate to strong south-east-erly and easterly winds arc probable, changing to northerly shortly south of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. The barometer has a rising tendency in the north, but a depression is due to to pass in the south about the week-end.
