THE LATE BISHOP GRIMES.

THE BODY REACHES CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Christchurch, March 2t. A large crowd gathered at the station this morning when the remains of the late Bishop Grimes arrived from Sydney. The cortege left at 8 o'clock for tiie Cathedra!, where Archbishop O'Siiea (Wellington), Bishop Verdon (Duncdin), and Bishop Cleary (Auckland) were in waiting. The funeral casket was placed in tin; central aisle and a short service conducted by Dean Hills. The Cathedral hell tolled at intervals. The whole ceremony was highly impressive. The lid of the casket was then removed and the congregation filed slowly past the coffin. The last funeral rites will be solemnised to-morrow.
