THE GOVERNMENT POLICY CRITICISED.

At a representative meeting of farmers, convened by the Farmers' Uaion, a resolution was carried: "That this meeting disapproves of the Government's action in prohibiting the exiport of produce, and that it is an. unwarranted interference with farmers iin the carrying out of their business, as it will tend to discourage the growing of oat 3 and create a worse position than exists now."'
