CROWDING IN ON PRZEMYST,.
Received .March 22, 11.30 p.m. Petrograd, March 22. ■Official.—Westward from the the Russian advance continues successfully. Considerable success was obtained in the Svidnik and Smolnik district.
We secured the enemy's principal dispositions of officers and seven guns. Tho enemy's attacks in the direction of Udsok and M'unkach 'were repulsed. Near Przemysl we captured a village. All round the forts the garrison has lvoen driven from their line of fortifications.

SOME STIFF FIGHTING.
Petrograd, Marcli 21. Official:—As tho Russians advanced two regiments of the Landsturm defending Memel were driven back mingled with the population. The Russians entered at 8 o'clock in the evening and encountered fire from houses and barricades. Civilians and troops both participated. The Russians were then withdrawn and Memel subjected to a short bombardment, which ended the resistance. The town was evacuated, the inhabitants taking refuge at Konigsbcrg. Petrograd, March 21. Official: Details of tho repulse of four regiments which made a sortie from Przemysl show that we captured 107 officers, 3054 men, and sixteen machineguns. Prisoners describe the losses in killed and wounded as enormous.
The Germans had a stiff fight at Tanroggen and were repulsed over the East Prussian frontier.
The official reply to the German threat of reprisals points out that Memel wis defended by armed forces, whilst the inhabitants participated in the fighting.
