FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last-Night. The following is Mr. Bates' weather forecast:—Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds generally. The barometer is likely to rise soon for a short time in the north, but to fall shortly in the south. A temporary improvement in the weather may be expected in the north,' but a change is probable early in the week in the south, with increasing cloudiness and freshening northerly winds.
