New Zealand Loan and Mercantile, Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London hon-e mider dale 1 lith inst.:—''The wool sales opened on Kith inst. There is no change in the market for good merino, hut for other descriptions the market, is weaker. Greasy medium and coarse crossbred are five per cent, higher. France and America are competing-."
