TARATHA CI,UP,. Owing. no doubt, to the wet weather, there was not a lar.ee attendance at the annual meeting of the Tarahua Golf Club held last evening. Air. George Grey (President) occupied the chair. The President complimented the club on the success of the past season. T!n> financial position showed an improvement. The liability of the club had been considerably reduced during the year, while the links had rivetved every attention. The green had been kept in excellent order and the standard of monib t-." play had thereby generally improved. This year the greens had b:'en put in fine order for the opming, and a successful season's golf was assured. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President: Air. K. Cock; vicepresidents: Afessrs G. Grey and T. C List: secretary: Air. Phil Grey: trcasur cr: Air. G. Carter; club captain: Air. X Perry: committer: Alossrs Alontgoiueri' Canuoll, Borridgo. A. Morey, and A. T Moore with officers ex officio. The oiiening day was fixed for Sat urday, March 27. when a mixed four somes match. President v. Vice-presi-dent, will be played. A vote of thanks, was pas-cd to Mr, \V. Porridge for services given gratuitously on the putting greens; also to Air. Gordon Carter for his .secretarial assistance.
It was resolved that the committee be requested to draw up a programme for the season's play. Votes of thanks tc outgoing officers, the press, and the chairman concluded the meeting.
