WITIORA GOLF CLUB.
.ANNUAL MEETING. The. annual meeting of the Witiora (!olt Club was held last night/when Mr J. S. S. .Medley psesided over a good attendance, including a number of ladies. REPORT. The balance sheet showed receipts to have been £l5O Us 3d i the principal item being subscriptions £124 Ills Gd. There was a credit balance of £7 3s (id. Mr Meiliey, in moving the adoption of the balance sheet, congratulated the club on the successful season just passed. The club had started the season w tli a membership of 31, and ended with 70 members, and also worked off a deficit of £3O, and emerged with a credit balance of £7. Matches had been played with New Plymouth, Inglewood, Waitara, and Tarahna Clubs. The championship of the club was won by Mr Mackay, the Witiora, Cup by M" J. D. Sole, and the challenge pairs by Messrs J. S. Paton and R. M'Qmule. The report was adopted. OFFICERS. Ollicers were elected as. follow:—Patron, His Excellency the Karl of Liverpool; president, Mr A. Standish; vicepresidents, Messrs iW. P. OVallaglian and T. K. Skinner, Archdeacon Evans, and the. Rev A. 11. Colvile; captain, Mr V. Elliot: deputy captain, Mr J. S. ■Paton; secretary, Mr T. H. Buxton. After some discussion, it was decided | that the committee should consist of seven, with the captain and secretary 1 ex oflieio. The following committee was ' elected: —Messrs J. S. S. Med'ev, Yv. H. Broome, J. S. Paton, A. IC. Smart, J. ' W. iraslam, 11. Stocker, and E. R. Oilmom'; auditor. Air R. If. (Icorge; match committee, Messrs Elliot, Haslain, and Smart. ; OENERAL. The matter of registering the ciub 3 was left in the hands of the general committee, with power to act. ( The subscription for the ensuing year was fixed at: Ladies' £1 ,15s, men £2 12s, reducible hv l l os in each case if ; paid before May 31, 1915. Mr J. D. Sole brought up the question of shifting one of the holes in order to make the links more " sporting." Tlie matte-.- was referred to the incoming committee. It was resolved that the ladies should appoint their own committee. Some discussion ensued as to match days being set aside for ladies, as sevoral of the ladies expressed the opinion that they did not receive sufficient consideration in this respect. It was accordingly decided to recommend the committee to allow at least one Thurslay a month for ladies' matches.
