HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Wellington, Last Night. The High Commissioner reports under date London, March 10 (5.20 p.m.):— Paris reports that the importance of yesterday's progress in Champagne, is confirmed. The German counter-attaek on the crest of hill 100 was very violent, but was vigorously repulsed. In the Argonnn, at Fontaine Madamefi the Allies demolished a blockhouse, advancing the trenches 80 metres. At La-Four-de-Paris and liois-de-Bolante the trenches taken by the French were lost and recaptured. A second German counter-attack is proceeding. Petrograd reports Iflat the confusion existing in the, German forces is assuming enormous proportions. The Germans throw boiling liquid on the Russian advancing infantry. The Germans suffered, enormous losses south of Drobine. The Russians counter-attacked and regained the original position. During the capture of the remainder of the Austrian flanking columns at Klausza in the Carpathians the Russians look a battalion commander, eight officers, and three entire companies. The Tsar left Tsars-koye-Selo on Tuesday for Helsingfors. Caucasus reports state, that fighting ' in the region of Transchorok was continued on Monday.
