MORE "BLOCKADE" NEWS. THE COWARDLY SUBMARINE POLICY. SOME NARROW ESCAPES. London, March 10. Sixteen of the crew of the trawler Grisnez have landed at Nesvhavcn. The. trawler met a German submarine off Beaehy Head, which signalled them to go aboard another trawler in the vicin-. ity. Before, the crew was able to get out the boats the submarine opened fire, badly damaging one boat. Finally a shot exploded the Grisncz's boiler. She was left in a sinking condition. When a large steamer appeared the submarine dived. Rotterdam, March 10. The Prize Court at Hamburg lias requested Dutch shippers interested in the cargo of the Dunvard, sunk by a submarine, to notify their claims for possible indemnification. London, March 10. The Admiralty reports that since February 1 fourteen vessels were unsuccessfully subjected to submarine, attack. There were several narrow escapes. Captain white, who is now in' America, claims that the steamer Overd.ic sunk a submarine in the Irish Sea on January 1. When dry docked at Qucenstown it was found that two blades of her propeller had been lost and her plates damaged. (This is probably the Overdalo, 2240 lons net register, trading between Liverpool ;.nd IJc.v Orleans.) SUNK BY THE GERMANS. Received March 12, 12.45 a.m. Christiania, March 11. A submarine sighted in Dublin Bf>v. .fulfil!" by the large size, was the UJ2. Either the numbering of the submarines has been altered to deceive England or they are training double crew's.
