At the wool sales American competition for best merinos was keen at the rates realised at Adelaide. Bidding was exciting and animated. Merinos advanced 15 to 25 per cent., tile top price being 15%. THE COMMONWEALTH BANK. Melbourne, March 9. The Commonwealth Bank profit for the half-year ended December 31 was ' £13,428.
