A "PMVATE JJ.OTUL DAMAGED, By Telegraph.—Per Pfcss Association, Auckland, March 'B. A private hotel, "The Towers," in 1 Newmarket, of 25 rooms, was partiall-y destroyed by fire on Saturday night. OUTBREAK IN EXPLOSIVE STORE. Wellington, March 8. A fire broke out in the Eaflior Board's explosive store this morning, probably through chemical action and the leakage of phosphorous from tins and ignition on exposure to the air. The firemen had an extremely difficult task before the outbreak was overcome. The damage \vas slight.
