During the siimuier the grass had been kept well in check through the green, thereby minimising the cost, of preparing for the coming season, Many iiuprovements had been effected, and these had been well carried out by the caretaker and his assistant. The next important work to lie undertaken was the Inuvkeriiiff of the course, twelve out of the eighteen holes requiring to be • done. Very great interest was again taken in the inter-club contests, and as this club was tin' Metropolitan Club it, should take a strong lead in these matters. T.i : report regretted that no club debentures were taken up during last year; there were still sixty-limy.' to be disposed of, and he hoped that* the treasurer would have, no difficulty in placing them during the coming season. Owing to Air. McCord leaving the Dominion- he resigned from the eommittee, and his place had been filled by Mr. .), Austin. At various places trees had been plained, which ill time should greatly improve the links, Mr. McCormick having accepted an engagement with the Karori Club, arrangements had been made with Mr. Lock to act as coach lo the Ta nulla Club. Tile Easter -tournament would take place during the first week in April and it was hoped that a large number of the local members would enter, thereby -helping to make the tournament a success. The report, he regretted to say, that since fie last meeting war bad broken out, and eight of the club's members had already gone to the front, and others would be leaving at au early date. The club wished them every success, and expressed the wish that they mi:>'ht do their s|iar 1: in bringing about a decisuv victory. The committee wished to all those members who had made donations during the year, and also those who had helped the club in many ways.
The balance-sheet -showed a. satisfactory position,' jsget-a exceeding liabilities by,' ,t23-l 10s 7d. On the motion of the chairman and Mr. D. Uutton, the report and balanc.'sheei were adopted.

These fees would he forwarded to the Xew Zealand Ladies' (lolf Vnion. who would hand them over to the Hed Cross -Society. A substantial amount should thus be raised. Tf sufficient .support were accorded the scheme, a bronze medal would be struck and banded to the winners of the coinpefiiion as a permanent memento. The ehainnan considered that tliis was a mailer for the ladies to decide, but be would like to see tliym give the matter favorable consideration. lie aDo stated that lie would like to see the men of the club do something to assist the Belgians.
