Mr. L. G. Blundell has been elected chairman of directors of the New Zealand Press Association. Mr. J. Paton leaves to-morrow morning for a fortnight's holiday;, which he will spend at tho mountain. Mr. T. 11. Gill, M.A., LL.B., Inspector of Secondary Schools, is at present on an official visit to this district. Captain C. 11. Weston, who has heen. appointed on probation an officer of the sixth reinforcements, leaves for Trenth-' am this morning. At the annual meeting of the New Plymouth Golf Clu'b reference was made to his impending departure, and wishes were expressed for his safe return from the seat of wsir.
