The metalling on the u»i"v section of tlia main road was Hearing completion, and a week s'aould complete tile lower section. Work on tile .Way Road had been arranged with the settlers concerned. The formation on tii.' I'rnii Road, preparatory to metall'ng, was .proceeding satisfactorily. Timber for repairs to all the TJrnti district bridges had arrived and would be, forthwith placed' at the different sites. The bridge party would, 011 its arrival in the Uruti district, give the Mangamaeho bridge its first attention. The report was adopted.
AVTAWA ROAD. Mr. H. Jennings, M.P. for Taumarunui, wrote to the effect that 1m would bo pleased to assist the Council in any representations that might be necessary in the forwarding of works • that needed notice from the Council to the Government.—To be acknowledged with thanks.
