AUSTRALIAN MATCHES. ' Sydney, March 4. The Council of the Tennis Association has granted the Queensland Association's application to hold the Australasian championships during the current year. Melbourne, March 4. The Tennis Association has decked to ask to be released from inter-State matches, and will not play in clubs' pennant competitions. NO DAVIS CUP CONTESTS. Sydney, March 4. The Council of the Tennis Association reported that the time to receive challenges for the Davis Cup had expired, and none had been received.
