RAMMING A SUBMARINE.

ADMIRALTY TAKES NO RISKS. Received 5, 12.5 a.m. London, March 4. The Admiralty is dry-docking. the steamer Tliordis in order to prove whether it is entitled to the £llOO boundy for sinking a submarine. The captain and crew are emphatic that they saw a submarine in broacl daylight in the sea only two ships' lengths nway. The Tliordis was almost stationary in a rough sea. A torpedo was fired, and narrowly missetl. The captain, expecting another, determined to try and ram the sumlmrine. The wind and sea fortunately drove the Thoruis upon the submarine, and the rending of p'ates was heard.
