A length debate took place upon t*ie question of the extension of the term of the itinerancy upon a mot:o7i 'introduced l>y Rev. C. H. Laws, providing that in special cases the conference could appoint a minister beyond the five years limit. The resolution was carried by 121 votes to 40.
