CORRESPONDENCE.
HOW NOT TO DO IT! (To the Editor.) Sir,—Being desirous of purchasing a small property in the neighborhood of New Plymouth, I inserted in Monday's News an advertisement for a farm of 50 to 100 acres, with good house; and asked that full particulars might be sens to your office. On Tuesday morning I re, ceived five replies. Of these three gave details of places, but not the slightest indication of price required, which" might be anything from "£lO to £SO an acre. The fourth writer first said that his place is seven miles from New Plymouth and then that it is only two miles from the New Plymouth Post Office. Only one had the gumption to say what Tie ■wanfs. I mention my experience so that the correspondents may understand that they have only themselves to thank if they do not hear further from me. If a man. wants to sell his property, he should be prepared to say what his" figure is.— I am, etc.,
BUYER. P.S.—A sixth letter has just come to hand. No price!
