The following is Mr. Bates' weather report:— The rear of the cyclone off the cast coast of the North Island and the front of the westerlv storm area now enveloping the Dominion have modified each other. The latter is likely to pass in the south by to-morrow evening, tflie barometer falling everywhere in the meantime, with strong northerly winds, changing by West to high southerlies. Expect cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain probable generally, and a cold snap following.
