BUSINESS NOTICE.
In moving to far more commodious and absolutely central premises next the "H. 8." Clothing Factory, Air. W. H. Preece Jias displayed an enterprise that must commend hij hairdressing and tobacconists' business to all who believe in progress. Th 0 step should be a paving one, for Mr. iPreeco more than made good in his .popular Saloon in 'Brougham Street. He .found, however, that Devon Street central was "the" place to give th e public the advantage of his knowledge of the -tobacconist trade—a trade which needed more advertising iby way of show windows than his old premises allowed. So to-day his customers—and they are still a regularly increasing number—find him in a well-appointed and .roomy saloon. The show window is large, attractively fitted, and well used, a feature being an exhibit of the various stages of the "Civic" (pipe, noted amongst smokers for giving the utmost enjoyment from the fragrant* weed. All the "usual tobacconists' sundries, and apparently every kind of brand of tobaccos can,, he obtained. In th e ihairdressing and shav--ing saloon are the proprietor and three assistants, and the four chairs obviate delay in attention to customers. The saloon i 3 well lighted, brightly and tastefully fitted, and spotlessly clean. The staff is skilled and courteous, and the saloon is showing already by its volume of business that there was need for it.
