At the Salvation Army Hall to-night at 8 o'clock a public we!eom ( . will he extended to Commissioner and Mrs. 1 fodder, who have been appointed as. the chief officers for New Zealand. His Worship the Mayor (.Mr. ,J. ;K Wilson) and other leading citizens will take part, and no doubt the hall will be packed. Tlic. Sunday morning services) will be held in the hall, while the afternoon and night gatherings -will take, place in the flood Templars' Hall. At the, afternoon gatiholmg Commissioner Hodder will deliver his famous lecture on Japan, and seeing he has just 'had seven years in that interesting country he no doubt has (i lot of information to oi>it. Brigadier and Mrs. Brav will accompany their leaders to New Plymouth.
