7;i the Xcw South AValos Ministry, Mr Black lias been appointed to the "port-' folio of Agriculture and Mr Ashford becomes Minister of Lands. The Rev. W. 11. Hedley, who lias had experience in Canada and this Dominion, lias taken charge, of the coastal part of tile Church of Filmland Mission in Taranaki. and will have his headquarters at Pukearuhe. Mr H M. Smith, who has been for some time working in connection with the Church of England Mission in Taranaki, and lias been very much appreciated by the settlers, has accepted a curacy at Stratford. The Rev. F. (i. (Jeddis has arrived in Taranaki to take charge of the Church of England Mission on the Fast Road. Mr .Oddis had some years' experience in North Queensland, and has been stationed also in the Bay of islands, in North Auckland. He will reside for the present at Stratford, and later on at Stratli.inore.
