WAR REGULATIONS.

STRICT SECRECY NECESSARY. MI.'.ITAUY CRITICS NOT WANTED. Wellington, last night. A Gazette extraordinary revokes war regulations 14 and 1!) of November 10 relating to the publication of false reports and the publication of communications and information with respect to movements of troops, and replaces them with the following new regulations:— No person shall publish or communicate, or -permit to be published or communicated for information respect to (1) Forecasts or plans of future naval and military, operations; (2) organisation, strength, movements, armaments, condition, disposition, or distribution munieivted for information in respectto jesty or his Majesty's allies'; (3) condition of warships of 'his Majesty or his allies, or supply or, .other services; (4) situation, armaments, or state of defensive works, whether in New Zealand or elsewhere in the British dominions or territory belonging to His Majesty' Allies unless EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE.

(a) Information is received by cable passed by the t appointed censors over Britsh cables; or (b) the information lias already appeared in newspapers received by mail in New Zealand from some other portion of the British Dominions; or (c) the information has 1 been passed for publication by the Chief of the General Staff of the New Zealand military forces, Wellington. No person shall be allowed by word of mouth or in writing, or in any newspaper, periodical, book, circular or other, ■printed publication to spread false reports or make false statements or reports or statements likely to cause disaffection to His Majesty or interfere with the success of His Majesty's forces by land or sea. or to prejudice His Majesty's relations with foreign powers, or his allies, or spread .reports or make statements likely to prejudice recruiting, training, discipline or administration of any of His Majesty's forces, including the New Zealand defence forces.
