HIGH COMMISSIONER'S EEPORT. The High Commissioner reports, under date London, February 25, 2 a.m.: i Paris reports occasional artillery corntats from the Lys to the Aisne, favorable to the Allies'. Several German batteries were silenced in the region of the Reuse. Detailed reports of the success at Lpargs show that they were of grer.t importance, with heavy enemy losses. On the small part of the front, taken by the Allies upwards of 600 dead Germans were found. Prisoners say thr.t two regiments were driven from their positions and lost upwards of 3000 men, more than half their effective strength. The High Commissioner reports under date, London 25th, 5.20 p.m.:— Petrograd reports that at Augusto/wo forest two Russian regiments wer? mrrounded and were supposed to be lost, but they broke the enemy's lines and rejoined their own troops.
Thj battle on the right bank of the Narew is extending. There are continnoua German attacks along the whole front, in the Vistula, region, and at Bodzanow. Th fighting is becoming extremelv difficult in the Przasnvx region. In the Carpathians there is desperftte fighting jast of Lupkow. Xear Zav. ftdka, the Russians captured three linos bf trenches on a height that wa» almost a pr:-"inicc. The defending Germans were killed or taken prisoners. SAuth of Tuehalx. after stubborn fighting the Russians parried tin heights on the right bank of the Hozanka.
